About Michael Horwitz

Michael is passionate about helping individuals and organizations identify their vision, define their values, clarify their goals, and create a strategy to execute the steps necessary for the successful implementation of their plan. With over 35 years of experience as a former practicing Certified Public Accountant and small business owner, Michael Horwitz has a diverse background in a variety of industries and organizations.

Michael is a certified to deliver Situational Leadership and related programs by the Center for Leadership Studies. He is a Franklin Covey Certified Facilitator in Diversity training and their new personal productivity program The 5 Choices. He is also a certified trainer and facilitator in customer service, empathetic listening, and a variety of other training and development programs.

Since 1991, Michael has provided leadership development, training, coaching, and consulting services to individuals and organizations to help them create a strategic plan of action and execution. Mr. Horwitz received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Leadership from the Nova Southeastern University. He is pursuing a Doctorate in Education with a major in Organizational Leadership at Nova Southeastern. He is minoring in Brain-Based Leadership. His dissertation topic is Authentic Leadership. The title of his dissertation is “The Effect of Situational Leadership Training on Authentic Leadership”.

Michael serves as the Vice-president of District Operations for the Gulf Stream Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In that volunteer postion he is helping to develop additional strategies to enhance recruitment of adult leaders within the seven districts that comprise the Council, develop and deliver training on the importance and use of the Journey to Excellence scorecard, and implement the Voice of the Scout program, the BSA Net Promoter Score survey and customer service enhancement program, new for 2012.

Mr. Horwitz is a licensed real estate broker and real estate instructor and managed a real estate brokerage firm with over 100 sales associates. He is the broker-manager of Strategic Real Estate Advisors, Inc. He is an Adjunct Professor at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University where he teaches Situational Leadership.
